Liberty Sport Horses is owned and managed by Rhianon Pettigrove in the country setting of Gherang, approximately 25km west of Geelong, Victoria.
Specialising in Training and Educating, Preparation for sale and breaking-in and starting; Liberty Sport Horses provides an excellent level of professionalism and quality when working with your horse.
Having worked with horses since a very young age, Rhianon's love of horses moved her to New South Wales to complete a Bachelor of Science in Equine Studies. She has since worked throughout southern Australia and Internationally, aiming to improve her knowledge and abilities.
Liberty Sport Horses is set on 60 beautiful partially cleared acres on the outskirts of the otways.
The facilities include a full size, professionally built sand dressage arena, enclosed for safety with a 1.20m timber post and rail fence. The surface is rideable every day of the year with the quality surface never being too hard or too soft or slippery.
A 17m round yard with rubber and sand combo surface, 5 stables large in size and made to be as safe as possible without sacrificing the horses comfort or mental well being, five large post and rail yards, 6 horse safe paddocks with electric fencing, hardwood tie up/wash bay and a lock up tack shed.
At Liberty Sport Horses we combine traditional and modern approaches to the breaking in process to ensure your horse recieves the best start to its ridden education. Each horse is treated as an individual with a program tailored to help with any short comings in establishing the basics. An approximate time frame of 8 weeks is suggested however this depends directly on the individual.
Horses taken for re-sale are not ony taken in for full training but undergo a full advertising campaign incuding photoshoots, video recording, editing and uploading, web and magazine advertising, as well as deaing with any potential buyers and assisting as much as possible in sale negotiating.
Great pride is taken in improving your horses education and assisting with any sticking points riders are finding difficut to negotiate. We are aso happy to take horses for short spells to keep them ticking over while owners are away, providing full care.
Liberty Sport Horses is situated 25km west of Geelong just off the Cape Otway Rd in between Moriac and Winchelsea.
